What is Muscle Therapy?
Muscle therapy is a form of musculo-skeletal treatment that treats the body as a whole but at the same time targets specific injuries to give you the most beneficial form of treatment available. Muscle therapy also incorporates rehabilitation exercises and stretches to rebalance the body and prevent the injury from returning.
Muscle Therapy is a form of treatment that has been developed by Garry Luke. It utilises functional movement based techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, dry needling and corrective exercise to get you out of pain and your body performing at its best.
Some forms of physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathic and sport medicine approaches are very reductionist meaning that your injury is broken down to one specific thing. This is sometimes the case but mostly your injury is a build up of many things. Often your treatment with one of these practitoners will be rushed and not thorough so the root cause will never be established and you will only ever have the symptoms treated.
If you truly want a caring, holistic and thorough method of injury treatment and prevention then muscle therapy is what you need.
